It was an honor to be on the Steve Noble Show. I had a chance to talk about my coming to America as a child, my upbringing in Houston, and how being a parent of a child with special needs inspired me to run for Wake County School Board.

The Wake County School Board race is a nonpartisan one, and the message of change resonates with all parents, no matter their party affiliation. So, I am humbled that a parent volunteered her time to make this video. Even though she may have different beliefs in other matters, she shares with me the desire for change in our public schools.

Campaign Kick-off Event 7/30/22
The Campaign Kick-off on Saturday, 7/30/22, was a great success! Our special speaker was Kenny Xu, author of An Inconvenient Minority, and the President of Color Us United.
In the wake of the tragic events in Uvalde, TX, I was able to join forces with Cheryl Caulfield, candidate for Wake School Board District 1, and Donnie Harrison, Candidate for Wake County Sheriff, to have a lively discussion on how to make our schools safer. How can we afford to make our schools safer? The more important question is: Can we afford not to make our schools safer?
